The PHANZ Youth Special Interest Group is a space created by and for young people who are passionate about public health and the future of Aotearoa.

We recognise that rangatahi are not just the leaders of tomorrow—they are leaders now. This group is a place to connect, wānanga, uplift each other, and bring fresh whakaaro to the public health space. Whether you’re studying, working in health, involved in activism, or just care deeply about your community, your voice matters here.

Guided by kaupapa Māori values like kotahitanga (unity), manaakitanga (care), and rangatiratanga (self-determination), this SIG exists to create space for rangatahi to influence policy, lead conversations, challenge the status quo, and build strong networks across the motu.
