POLICY position STATEMENTS - FOR review

Policy Position Statements – for review

The PHANZ has a key role in influencing public health policy. Public health policies play a crucial role in shaping the well-being of individuals, communities, and entire societies.

The PHANZ has developed a framework to support how we identify, prioritise, and develop policy position statements, to ensure all policies help achieve the goals and priorities of the PHANZ, are evidenced-based, align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and reduce inequities and improve the hauora of all people in Aotearoa New Zealand.

The PHANZ is now seeking PHANZ membership feedback on two new draft policy position statements – member feedback is important to ensure these statements reflect our organisational values and our collective voice.

The PHANZ team, working with the Policy Subcommittee, have developed and drafted two new policy position statements:

·         Climate change and health

·         School-age nutrition and Ka Ora, Ka Ako

Please submit any constructive comments or feedback using this online form by 5pm, Monday 26 May (please note that the style, format and references section will be finalised following this engagement with members).
