Nelson Marlborough Health is the main health service provider for New Zealand’s Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough districts, serving nearly 145,000 people across two hospitals, public health and a range of community services.
Working in a close-knit team of motivated professionals, you’ll be full of energy and enthusiasm and have an innovative streak when it comes to working with cross sector partners across the district and the South Island. You’ll be based in the Public Health Service and as Clinical Director you will offer leadership to the population health initiatives of Nelson Marlborough Health. You’ll be on the leadership team of both the Public Health Service and the South Island Public Health Partnership, an alliance of the three public health units in the South Island. You will also be a designated Medical Officer of Health.
You’ll bring the following qualifications and experience:
You’ll work alongside other public health medicine and dental specialists and with a team of analysts, health promotion and protection officers and public health nurses. You’ll have a commitment to quality improvement and building an environment of excellence in the Public Health Service.
Situated near the top of the South Island, Nelson city is the geographical centre of New Zealand. It has three national parks within a 90 minute drive and is surrounded by beaches, mountains, hidden valleys, raging rivers and golden sands. Nelson Marlborough Health offers six weeks annual leave, superannuation, paid indemnity insurance, CME leave and expenses plus a relocation package.
